A realistic day in the life of a real estate CEO
Ever wondered what it’s like to lead an independent real estate agency in the Adelaide Hills? You can watch a realistic day in my life here.
This is how I’m building an industry-defining company, without losing sanity or myself.
If you’re interested in scaling your company, make sure you sign up for my free 30-day educational email course. You’ll get one short and tactical email every morning to help level up as a leader.
I share business wisdom and breakthroughs on my journey from technician to visionary, in real-time as I’m learning these lessons. I’m not disconnected from the daily operations or sharing from the peripheral.
My goal? To help shorten your leadership journey, avoiding the mistakes I’ve made.
Your role as a CEO will change over time (and that’s okay)
As you too transition from technician > visionary, your schedule will look different to when you started out. You’ll spend the majority of your time solving issues, mediating people problems, and creating and caring for big relationships (with clients, community and key partners).
When I started out as CEO, my days were hijacked with listing appointments, because I was also the top salesperson, so revenue relied on me. Then I’d spent nights tending to my CEO duties. Now, my role is in the high-level connecting, so my team can take over from there.
I spend most of my time on systems, rather than sales. Long term business development, rather than deals this week or month. However, I’m not dogmatic about it. If I have a long history with a Nitschke client, I like to be present at those appointments.
You have to find your own balance between operator and visionary. It won’t always be a perfect division between the two roles. There will always be issues. Cashflow will always be critical to success.
All of this work is equally mental and emotional as it is practical.
I’m here if you need a hand with it.
